Finch: Thanks for the replies folks, really appreciate all the help.
This is my plan for tomorrow...
Boot up the Laptop, upgrade to windows 10, download Macrium. Then use the software to copy all the system files (If that's what you call them) over to The SSD using The Usb 3.0 Enclosure. Take out the current 2TB HDD, replace with SDD + boot up.
Sound ok?

coffeebaron: Yep, 8GB or more. You can then repurpose stick after you've finished. Doing this way, it's a completely clean install on your shiny new SSD :)
Finch: I have a 32GB USB stick which has 25.2GB left.
Pretty nervous about this!

MackinNZ: CoffeeBaron is correct.
Remember that creating the Windows 10 install stick will format the stick, so you can't have any other data on it.

WARNING !!!! Everything on your USB stick will be DELETED when you download Windows 10.
Save your USB data somewhere else first.
Finch: One question I forgot to ask..
How long will this process take?
2 Hours as a noob?

Download time for 3 or 4TB (Win 10) - depends upon your connection - PLUS
30 minutes max for the Win10 install PLUS
Time to swap hard drives (depends upon your laptop)
Possible in 2 hours.
Don't rush - do it once and do it well
Finch: ... Win 10 is a 3-4TB download???
