joker97: hmm maybe something to raise with the dell people. there is a 1cm diameter ripple (circular) on about the right side of the screen (imagine you divide by thirds it is the intersection of the right vertical third and lower horizontal third).

most visible when i pull on the corner of the screen to open/shut. sometimes even pulling on the middle (webcam area).

so you guys don't have that circular ripple?

Coil Whine update. Dell will now no longer offer any services to try and repair my machine. They have said it's a wide spread issue and they don't expect to be able to repair it. Only option they are offering is a full refund. Which is a bummer as I really really like the machine and can't see anything remotely close other than an Macbook Pro. I guess at least they will offer a refund. Others that have looked at buy a XPS15 which machines did you consider getting instead of it? ideally wanted SSD & 16 gig of ram. Screen etc wasn't a massive deal but nice to have.
