Yeah...nah!

It's not THAT good yet! ;-)

Windows 10 is a lot closer than Windows used to be but doing away with things like C: instead of 'Windows Home' or something and that kind of thing to improve the UI for non-IT department users would be a further step forward. Simplification of use/ease of use is the key.

As a device, I do prefer the Surface to my MacBook Pro. It is a bit limited in ports and it is a shame they did not include Thunderbolt. I will probably get the dock and travel with that, although it is a bit expensive. Keyboard cover should also have been in the box - I cannot imagine they sell many without it. Screen could have better anti reflection coating too.

Love Windows Hello (bright light on your face will prevent recognition I find) and look forward to much more stuff in the Store. A downside would be so many Apps I am used to on my Mac not having Windows versions.

The sound is especially good.

Hi Geektastic, how long did it state your warranty was when your registered your device on Microsoft?

Retail devices have 2 years

Commercial devices have 1 year

Are you not seeing this?

You'll find it's even longer than this as we +90 days to allow it to get thru distribution etc

I don't recall be required to register it anywhere.

@Geektastic - Is the Adobe LR/PS the AUD$9.99/month CC version? Thinking of heading this way myself if it runs okay. Cheers

Regretting my Surface Pro 4 i5 256GB purchase now.

Ever since the Feb 17 update I'm having problems related to waking from sleep. The problem happens 100% of the time when the device goes into deep sleep and I'm forced to shut down the Surface by holding down the power button for 30 seconds. During the sleep, the battery will drain 10%+ per hour, and in the worst case the battery drained 100% to 0% in 5 hours when I haven't even touched the device.

Now I would return it if I could, but the problem is I bought the Surface from Australia with tax refund, now I'm stuck with a $2000 brick that only brings troubles.

Have you installed the latest Windows updates?  The batch from 17/2 seems to have fixed my remaining sleep problems (although I never had the issue you're describing).

The issue came from the update. It was sort of fine before then.
