Anyone know what the SKU for a 2nd or 3rd year warranty on the Asus UX301?

gzt: Do you know about youshop?

Yep. I use it sometimes. I have had packages go missing at hotels before though.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

went back to this thread and spent a couple of minutes playing with their solution and it works!

i can now see things on my screen without a magnifying glass!

Actually not true - I just bought 1TB portable HD at PBTEch which was cheaper than the same model on Amazon.

Just a head's up on ordering direct from HP in the US. You can order from them and get delivered to a US address but they need a billing address that matches - I'm using Paypal - so I suspect Ican put anything I like in that field - if I was using a CC I would probably have a problem.

I've also just spoken to Acquire.co.nz in NZ who do HP support - they are selling me a 3 year RTB care package for about NZ$230 +GST - which covers the warranty concerns

Just a word of caution..
make sure its a GENUINE HP warranty upgrade, not some 3rd party coverage.  "care package": does sound like HP :-)

Third part warranty upgrades, as sold in toaster shops, could be more trouble than they are worth: Non NZ companies doing their best to make you give up on your warranty claim when you need it.

Fair point - looks genuine to me - but  I will confirm in writing with them http://www.acquire.co.nz/acquire/default.asp?PageID=ProductDetail&pf_id=345038
