I have a wireless home network setup (as well as a wired machine). I have specified Xtra's DNS settings in my Netcomm wireless router. For the last couple of days, it's taking several seconds to lookup name servers whenever I go to a page. Usually this all comes up straight away. I have powercycled both my router and laptop, but still am getting a noticeable delay when trying to visit a website. The page does come up eventually, but not until it's finished querying the nameservers. Sometimes however the page doesn't load - although that is rare.

Is anyone else having the same difficulty with their Xtra connection? I haven't done a great deal of troubleshooting apart from powercycling the two decides to see if this would make any difference, but it doesn't appear to have done so (so far).

Telecom have a number of DNS servers. Which particular one are you using?

Does your router have it's own DNSmasq proxy running? If it does have it's own DNS server and your DHCP leases use the router IP for DNS have you tried setting the Telecom DNS servers directly in your PC's?
