When I synchronise my Nokia 6255 phone to Outlook Express 2003, and then look at the mobile phone number in the Contacts list, the default setting is to set the area code to the first numbers of the phone number, but only for 7 digit numbers. ie 027 123 4567 becomes (02) 7123 4567, yet 027 123 456 becomes 027123456. So, when synchronising back to the phone, the 7 digit number suddenly turns to +640271234567 which cant be used in the Telecom phone system.
Why does Outlook set its numbers like this? Is there a way to assign the number as a number without an area code?
