Telecom usage page has changed and now forcing a new account creation

to a thing called mytelecom

on signing up I didnt notice roboform had insert our old email address not telecoms
e.g. ihug not xtra

now I cant change it as its asking to confirm who I am on a bad email address

Do we have to wait 24 hours for it to expire or is there someone that can edit the email

or does it expire so can start over again?

Either call the helpdesk on 0800 225598 and they can fix you up.

Or email me pl at telecom.co.nz to prove who you are... and I can sort you out in the backend :)

how come it dont have a link to re-edit the info though.. save much problems

also would of been nicer if they allowed you to login with existing credentials and then answer the
extra new questions on sign in :)

I just email.

That was painful tried to enter a password 30char long with just letters and numbers and all you get is a notice that your password needs to be longer than 8char. Changed to 15 char and it worked.

Mine was 11 chars and accepted it.. although it said on the side was weak
which is silly as its a madce up word and numbers.. but then it accepted it anyhow

still wait for account removal so I can try again :__) silly mistakes cost time
and lack of delete or change options if email is wrong increase more work from mishaps to support :_)

That's the old Xtra Usage page and will be retired very soon if I have anything to do with it :)... It's something I am working on getting done with some urgency since it just creates confusion as that login uses your xtra.co.nz email address password whereas the new MyTelecom portal uses a password of your choice against your own email address (not necessarily an xtra.co.nz address).

Hopefully now the OP should be sorted.  It's a bit of a pain if you put in the wrong / invalid address when you first register.  There are plans to have a removal process if people don't complete the registration.  Otherwise the Broadband Helpdesk have a GUI tool to update it so there is a proper process.

Hope you'll be putting in a page that figures out I;m on a telecom DSL connection and so I don't have to authenticate (and has an xml feed) :D

I have to say I liked the old page better

Im not one for these light pastel colours.. hard when got bad eyes with darn floaters

but have to live with it i guess

its like mail live.. colours are bad as and fonts

used to like outlook express the best but now Im forced to use pop peeper which is very and gets
better with each build... I only use live mail when I want to download and archive
as pop peeper not there yet with its folder archives perhaps the next build
but thats off topic now :)

I have to say I would like a quota left.. sure it says how much used total and daily but it
dont do the 150gb - used = left for you..

and then it could go negative when you over the 150gb so you can see how much extra you have to pay
unless your on the slow down option

How about Telecom making a little app like Orcon has to see at a glance what your BB usage is??

It scrapes the old usage page so it will need to be updated the the old usage page is retired.

Would be nice if Telecom expose an API or xml or json feed.
