I have spent the last couple of days trying to find info on the MF 669 modem as supplied by Telecom.
What 3G wireless routers are compatible, none found so far. Will not work out from my DLink Dir 412
Why does the 3G Dashboard load into the Broswer window, no info found.
Is there other Programs available for running the modem, nothing found.

May have to go back to my MF636 stick

I'm fairly sure that the Telecom supplied TG582N works with it.

For the most compatible 3g stick in routers you can't go wrong with the Sierra 885.

That's the same reason I suggest the Sierra. Brilliant card and supported by a lot of different routers.

If you want a supported router with the 669 then I am 99% sure the telecom supplied one will do the business.

Not according to Telecom, MF669 not mentioned in the list of usable modems..

The MF669 won't work with that router since it just emulates a usb ethernet card and acts like a gateway. The only one in our range that will work is the MF190 except this doesn't have an antenna input.

Query - why does the built in connection software for the MF669 only load into a browser window, it does not seem to load in it's own window ??

There will be nothing that will directly work with the MF669 - the stick itself runs it's own OS to get around restrictions, eliminating the need for any software to establish a connection to the internet meaning it's able to work with a wider range of devices on the market (I'm looking at you customers with Windows XP) - it just emulates a USB Ethernet Adapter whilst the internal software does all the work, hence why there's no routers that can work alongside it.

I'd recommend looking into something like this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/business-farming-industry/farming-forestry/other/auction-607170421.htm - it has the ability to work with an outside high gain antenna, it may cost a bit more than the way you were thinking but it's the most reliable solution for you.

Thanks for all the info, main reson for router was to allow more than one device to use the 669, ie laptop and tablet, and the fact it has a antennae connection.
As the 669 has no wifi I guess I'll pass it of and continue using my 636 until I decide what to do regards getting antennae connection to the modem as we do quite often end up in weak signal locations.
