I note that the latest firmware update has enabled full bridge mode. Does anyone know if the Pace V5542 can be used in full bridge mode PPPoE with an Airport Extreme (that does not do VLAN tagging) with UFB?

Don't think so. Microtik or vlan switch would do the business.

Gave up on that heap of junk months ago - telecom should be ashamed to call it a business router

I got my Airport Extreme Base Station (802.11ac) working with the latest firmware on the Pace V5542 but the problem was that I experience constant stalling of web pages loading, videos not loading etc. to the point that I gave up and went back to replacing the modem with a HG630b and put my Airport into bridge mode and leaving it up to the modem router to do the DHCP and other goodies. Either the modem is crappy or the PPPoE present in the Airport Extreme Base Station sucks but either way it wasn't an enjoyable combination.

Agree with nitrotech.

Anyone with a v5542 should burn it at the stake. Easily the worst router I've ever owned -- due to one reason -- a firmware bug that causes netbios address resolution to fail.

So if you have a pc on your network you cannot connect to it using the netbios name. So you have to use IP addresses.
