Does anyone have the settings to get a Huawei HB4J1H on the Telecom network. It's currently on Vodafone and putting in a telecom SIM card is not changing anything.

There are no settings as such.

What is the problem and what is the model of the phone? The code you've mentioned looks like a battery part #

Does the phone support the 850Mhz band required for Telecom?

Sorry it will be. It is a Huawei IDEOS X3.

It was purchased through Vodafone and on the Vodafone network. My mother in law has now switched to Telecom and would like to use the phone on the Telecom network.
We have put in the Telecom SIM card but it's not picking up the network like most phones do. When we search the networks it only brings up Vodafone and 2degrees.

Where will I find the bandwidth info

its not going to work at all on the telecom network

This phone won't work on the Telecom network as it doesn't support the 850Mhz frequency that it uses.

I see it happening all the time with cheap fones being passed on to family and friends..

to be fair how many people would know that not all phones are equal, the majority see it as a phone that you put a sim card in, and honestly they are right it should be that easy.

Rude.....we had been trying to find it but couldn't find any answers. Isn't one of the uses of this forum being able to ask questions when unsure. She has actually purchased a phone through Telecom when she changed but it is very basic and would like to back to a smartphone. Being a cheap phone we didn't think we would have much luck but thought it might be worth a try before spending the money on another phone.

Won't be coming here for advice again only to feel stupid.
