For some reason websites now and then stall on loading, come up with and error and magically appear. I have had helpdesk look over my line and stuff and have no problems.

Attached is a video of what happens, click through websites and they pop up quick then the last one takes ages. This is happening regularly

Any ideas? I can replicate this on another computer.
Running wired conection

"Error connection timed out" is the crome error

Have you tried using a different DNS server - Google's on 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 is as good as any.

Sounds like you've got a technicolor router which causes the issues you describe

Yes, same modem. That is frustrating after being on the phone for 45 mins. The helpdesk guy should have known about that issue? Can I upgrade my modem or do I need to do the .bat thing? Im on windows 10

Generally Spark will swap out he router if you push hard enough - however running the batch file solves the problem.

To install the bat you'll need telnet installed and run command prompt as admin

What version of Windows did you say you're using? If you said 10 it's entirely possible their documentation hasn't been updated to reflect the issue as it was only an 8.1 issue historically.

I did say 10 but that was well through the call. I made it clear early on which modem I had

I have this same issue with Windows 8.1 and now Windows 10. I have the Technicolor TG589vn V2 router. Going to try the script as soon as I get telnet enabled!

Edit: Yay it worked! I've had flushdns scripts running on my 8.1 laptop all this time. Can finally get rid of it. Hard to believe that Telecom/Spark haven't come up with a solution for this and push it out. Surely this will be a big support issue for them given the Windows 10 roll out?

I argued for days with them over my technicolor one when Win8.1 came out.  Ended up sticking it into bridged mode and used a TP-Link router. Rarely any problems ever since.

They have come up with a solution for it, its called them retiring that device and using a different one for VDSL
