That's a bit pricey. I saw some people mention antennas for 15 bucks but couldn't find em

Check the new Skinny Broadband thread... plenty cheap ones mentioned there but "quality" may be questionable ☺️

1.I don't know, I got Skinny broadband a week or so ago so whatever latest modem they're giving.

2.I get two bars of coverage on the display and I'm trying to get three. I don't have 700mhz LTE according to Spark's coverage map.

You may have to get off your computer chair and help yourself. If you lift the router you may find a model number on it.

You asked for quality, so I suggested a site that supplies quality aerials, these guys happen to have some clues about what connectors you'll need, and have a variety of aerials for different applications, is external mounts etc.

Now you want cheap, find out what connectors your modem has then search on aliexpress

If you are connecting on the 1800MHz band, aerials are easy to find on aliexpress etc. If you are connecting on 700MHz you will probably have to search a bit deeper.

1 - Huawei B315

2 - If you have no 700MHz then you will be on 1800MHz see this thread http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=137&topicid=201512&page_no=3

The antenna's talked about there are cheap and my not be good quality. if you already get two bars, something in this thread will probably suffice.

You need two antenna's, both with SMA connectors and you will possibly need to change the settings to force the router to use the external antenna.

I've ordered a pair from eBay here , they should be here in a week or two

But I'm returning my modem as I can't change DNS settings or add an IP phone.

I'll put them on the for sale section for $25 plus postage when they arrive.
