Hi all. I have a Spark UFB service that's using the Spark supplied HG659b router.

Upon router startup, it all functions normally and I can log into the Router's admin pages correctly. However after a short time (10-15 minutes) a request to the admin page URL (192.168.1.254) displays nothing - the browser just times-out on an empty page. If I power-cycle the router and I can log into the router again (- same browser session and URL - just a refresh in browser). Throughout all of this, the router appears to be functioning properly, I just can't get into the admin pages (e.g. wifi settings, or checking error status, etc).

Any ideas?

How many devices are connected to the modem? including wifi

1-6 laptops/desktops.

1-6 mobiles.

6 PoE deskphones & 1 IP PABX

1 server and 1 printer.

Highly suspect your breaking the 16/32 device limit.

That's the only time i've seen this issue happen.
Normally happens on a first in, first out basis.

Please retest with less devices connected.

Where can I find out if it has a 16/32 limit? Is this limitation based on router hardware/firmware version? Is it possible to upgrade router firmware?

Is the 16/32 limit based on active DHCP leases? Would making the lease time as short as possible help? IIRC, the DHCP server comes setup with a 64 lease window by default.

Or is it the internal network-switch, can only cope with 16/32 MAC addresses?

It's both hardware and software.

32 devices is max overall, 16 per band for wireless.

in my testing, DHCP leases don't resolve the issue, it just makes it more annoying.
I have not tested if the internal switch itself also has the mac limit or not.
