A new cell tower has recently gone live and the 240GB plan is now available to me.

Is there any benefit in upgrading to the current modem (B618 I think it is) from the B315? Does anyone know how to tell where 4.5G is available for which I understand the new modem is required?

That tower isnt 4.5G.

There would be minor gains for switching to a B618 there, but i'd have to ask... Is there actually anything wrong with the service you have on the B315?

You can see the Frequencies on gis yourself... It's a 2CA tower, that aint 4.5G! or was it back in voda days? ;)

@hio77 The site has 850 and 1800Mhz so it must have CA on this band's? So it must be 4.5G not 4.9

Edit: oh 850Mhz is 3G only sorry so 4G 1800Mhz only

Edit: yes it has 700Mhz so it must CA the 700 & 1800Mhz and 850 is 3G only

It's b28 + B3. With U5.

Not 4.5g...

No, nothing wrong with service on the B315. Just re-orientated external aerials and getting 110Mbps + on speedtest, 3 x what is was.
