Evening All,

Can some with with a decent upload speed (50Mbps+ Up) test the Spark NZ Wellington Server using speedtest.net? Best I can get is 14-15Mbps with considerable packet loss. Seems okay on Auckland & Christchurch (circa 400Mbps up). Just want to rule out an issue on my end.

Appreciate it!

Brad

I get an up speed of 8.55 Mbps so definitely a prob at server end.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

17ms ping, 88.52 down, 2.92 up from Vocus Auckland on 100/20 plan over Wifi. As a point of comparison using Vocus' own server yields 6ms/83.93/18.15. Ping and down speed within expected variances but the up speed is odd for me.

Something is up with the on the Spark server end. I am seeing ~ 3mb upload via the Speedtest on the Spark server in Wellington as opposed to 480mb via the Speedtest on the 2degrees server in Christchurch.

Probably because it started off as talking about the Auckland server

I have noticed a few problems recently with the Spark speedtest servers - even from spark connections.

Eg. A school in hawkes bay has a 100mbit spark fiber connection and only tests at about 60mbits to the spark auckland/wellington servers but Primo in New Plymouth tests at the full 92 we would expect (with TCP overhead) from a 100mbit connection.
