This guy is a TNZ director????

Surely he would know that TNZ already has a 3G mobile network? (well two of them if you count CDMA1xRTT, but nobody does Wink). Maybe he meant "3G WCDMA"...

I would have thought that the decision to build a *new* 3G mobile network was *forced* on them by Telstra, due to their decision to decommission their CDMA network in Australia.

Ha thats funny, sure it made them push ahead sooner but i think bigger things made them choose 3G WCDMA... Broadband being the key and i would suspect for some time will have the power in this race over Vodafone once launched..
