Only started happening today. Went somewhere and started on 4G.

When got to place, handset had 5G symbol but there was no internet, nothing would load. Put phone into aeroplane mode and back and internet is working again.

Get home, in a 4G area, had wifi off, again no mobile internet. I haven’t tried aeroplane mode as turned on wifi this time. If aeroplane mode going to be needed each time change zones, going to be a pain.

iPhone 12 max pro, brought from Noel Leemings. Up til today there has been no problems changing zones so don’t know what has changed. The 4G and 5G symbols were visible, just nothing would work.

Edit: I turned wifi off, the 4G was working, but very slow. YouTube wouldn’t load and Geekzone was 15 to 20 seconds a page. Put it in aeroplane mode and back on and it went back to full speed.

It might be worth doing a full restart incase something is playing up there. If it’s still occurring and you can keep an eye on times / locations feel free to DM me some details and I’ll take a look.

Thank you. I’m be travelling today. I’ll do a restart and see what happens.

I’m also hot spotting by Bluetooth to a Tomtom Nav device for traffic updates, until Saturday there hasn’t been an issue, but if restart doesn’t work will turn that off next and test.

Thanks.

I’ve traveled with wifi on, no problems and hotspot.

It failed yesterday after I did an NFC payment with Apple Pay using the phone, and it seemed to fail after that point.

Thinking back, the other two times I used phone for Apple Pay as well.

I’ve network reset phone and see what happens. I also got a message with yesterday’s one “Unable to activate mobile link”

Not sure if last word was link, but can’t find anything googling it.

almost all mobile data issues we see here are related to VPN's - some people unwittingly install them on their phone and then have exactly the issues you describe - might not be that but worth checking.

Will keep an eye at our end too if anyone reports similar issues, related with things like Apple Pay, etc.
