I am yet to find free wifi in Chch other than the twisted hop you can ask nicely the people behind the bar for the password, but starbucks has a telecom/wifi service that can be billed to your telecom account.

XT Network is a cellular technology, not WiFi.

Your handset may or may not support WiFi, depending on the model, but this is totally seperate from the XT Network.

If you have a WiFi device, you can use a WiFi Hotspot. No such thing as an XT specific WiFi hotspot.
