just wondering if this phone will work on telecoms network (or also 2degrees if anyones knows), as i got a little big confused

Carrier: AT&T (GSM based), T-Mobile, and Other GSM carriers*
* Please check compatibility with your service provider  Technology: 3G EURO Standard, Quad Band 850/900/1800/1900

It would help if you provided manufacturer and model, not this text...

The way I read it, no it won't work:

"3G EURO Standard" = 2100 MHz WCDMA
Quad band = GSM
"AT&T (GSM based)" sounds like it only works on AT&T GSM, and it doesn't support AT&T WCDMA 850 MHz network, which is the same XT Network uses.

You need a 850 MHz WCDMA, like the ones used by Telstra Australia or AT&T Wireless.

XT Network is 850 MHz WCDMA. There's no GSM on XT Network.

Yea, problem is that its gonna cost a lot more than the $400USD ($600nzd) then its sold for on that site/other import sites)

and ok damn thanks, I'm also guessing it will work on 2degrees (from what i've read) though which could help.
