i was rung yesterday by telecom and i have been selected as one of their test drivers.

They are sending me an Nokia N85 that is packaged with $150 free mobile calls, txts and data usage for 6 months, so am really really wrapped.

i was just in process of looking for a good PDA phone so this comes as a pleasant surprise

The phone is valued at $1528 and comes with all the bells and whistles

but using the XT network on my current Sony Ericsson C510a ,i am totally impressed

It sounds good, but what is the test drivers' objectives, now that the network is launched?

New services as they come, or an incentive for people to use more to "load" the system?

Any ideas?

my interpretation based on what telecom told me was that it is more to promote and use all aspects of the hardware against the xt network capabilities.
As a member of the harley davidson owners group (HOG) i would be in a position to test the reliability and durability of the systems via our chapter excursions nationwide.

I have yet to recieve a forwarding letter to explain and perhaps give interpretation of what the testing format would be. i will keep everyone up to speed soon as i know.
