i couldnt tell you i havent used a harrier since nov. but as a usb cdma modem it had incredibly low latency and great performance the only draw back would be cost and out of city coverage.. but as for specifics i couldnt tell you. I also think that it would vary with cell site loading etc

Thanks mate...
I'm just courious as I've heard alot of people talk abot 400ms ping times on telecoms 3g which seems extremly slow?
If its ture then it maks a joke af their 'faster than anything else' claims (sure, it would be faster for large downloads, but simply getting txt based stuff could start to become painful at slow ping times)

Agreed, a 400ave would be fine, but if thats the best achievable, then its probably more like and average of 600.
As a comparison I ave 320ish on woosh.

Like I said, I'm just trying to get some numbers so I can work out where the limits are :-)

Average ping for 32bytes is 120ms. I have seen as low is 62ms on my T3G card. 1x or mobile jetstream is around 300ms

Your ping time completely depends on how good your signal is.

If you don't have full strength then you can't do a real latency test.

I will test an aircard tomorrow to a few gaming sites and see how that goes.

Consistently get between 120-170ms ping times on our T3G cards, alot better than our old CDMA cards!
