Looking at the status updates from Mauricio the impression is Telecom has some new plans coming out?

I get the feeling if so there will be VDSL2 in the mix as well.

hmmm his exact words were "Telecom inviting for a conference call on 1st July. Bring on the new broadband plans..." One would think from that statement that he has been informed about upcoming broadband plan changes and that confrence call will outline them.. yay about time too.

Well I asked freitasm how he knew that the conference was about new broadband plans and he replied saying:
"The information leaked on Geekzone a month and half ago..."

Didn't see anything a month and a half ago to be honest.

Some time ago we had some Telecom people posting internal confidential information. That was removed on request. Yesterday I've got an email inviting to a conference call and the topic is broadband.

It's not, like some hopeful soul on Twitter asked, the iPhone release.

Sweet, more usage (and uncapped speeds) compared to money paid please Telecom :D

well I'm on a max/max adsl2+ plan now so the only thing coming is a higher data cap and likely some VDSL2 plans. I saw somewhere that the rumour is Telecom will charge $20 on top of the regular plan for VDSL2 speed but then again not many people will be able to make the full use of it given required distance from the exchange/cabinet

I've only heard the two rumours about "Go Large V2" and apparently its a kind of celebration for 10 Years of Telecom ADSL.

Why not? They could slip it in there as a side announcement.

Mmm, thats interesting. Getting a bit off track here but...

At the end of that article, it says it could be the result of the v3.0 software update causing the Overheating?

I wonder what Apple will do in response....

Maybe start a new forum post for this old3eyes?

If it has not already been done that is.

Damn - my cordless phone died when he announced the new plan.

Got the end of it: new unlimited plans with shaping traffic around types of files that consume a lot of bandwidth - videos, Microsoft and Apple updates and mainly things that can't be cached.... NZ$ 59.95 or if you have TotalHome package it's just NZ$10 more on existing package. Speed priority to those that aren't on unlimited plans.

Continued growing footprint of ADSL2+

Moving popular plans to full speed/full speed.
