Hi All,

Can anyone please tell me what number needs to be dialed to establish a dialup networking connection. For the old telecom network it used to be #777, but since I don't have an XT network SIM or handset, I cannot test that.

Thanks,
Jason

And make sure to set the correct Telecom XT APN. In some cases not setting anything should just work. YMMV.

Also, there's no username/password on XT.

Thanks for your speedy responses.

I'm trying to support someone remotely, and *99# doesn't seem to be doing the trick. I guess I will have to get ahold of a XT SIM and test for myself.

If you are setting up a dial-up connection you will likely need a string command to place in the initialisation settings of the Modem (Control Panel > Phone and Modems > Modems Tab > Select Modem > Advanced Tab, and include the APN here also.

Try AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.telecom.co.nz"

Cheers
