Hey i need to know something if anyone can help me. ive brought my phone over from the UK its a Nokia 5800 and im wanting to know if i pay to unlock it whether or not i will be able to use it with and XT simcard. Ive heard alot of things about GSM and WCDMA which i have no clue what are and i was wondering if anyone could explain to me whetheror not i can use it over here.

Sorry if this is not in the right forum but i could not work out where to look so sorry about that.

If its from the UK does not look good

Is it a?

5800-1
5800-2
5800-3

XT network is %100 WCDMA 850mhz with some 2100mhz infill sites and 0 GSM

You can probably find the model under the battery?

That model is no good for Telecom. It's a 900/2100 device that will only work on Vodafone or 2 degrees.
