I've purchased the HTC Pure but it is all setup for AT&T. The phone works fine on XT, Except
Long press the of #1 keeps telling me voicemail is not configured on this line. I enter in 083210 press done but it doesn't make any difference.
It has all the AT&T specific apps that I don't really want and can't delete from the phone.

Any ideas/solutions?

These issues are closely related to the similar problem of modifying a Telstra-branded HTC Touch Diamond2 (WM Pro 6.5) for use on XT. (Both are HTC Topaz). So you might like to explore the web; even some Oz users do not like the Telstra stuff on their phones.

Are you familiar with dealing to Windows Mobile?

In specific regard to VoiceMail:
see the values under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Vmail
Change PhoneNumber1 to +6483083210 (use the international format, not local format so it should work if you are connected from another network when o/s) You may or may not need to fiddle with RegOverRidesSIM, mine is set to 1

You will have other work to do in terms of setting up data connections, ICS, MMS etc. Some might suggest you switch to a different cooked ROM rather than try to knock the AT&T specific version into shape.

Brilliant that sorted the voicemail out... I'll now look into changing the rom.
I had to add the registry to override the RegOverridesSIM by copying this:

Goodoh. Presumably you do not have access to the 2100MHz XT band, only to 850MHz ('cos AT&T Topaz 210 uses 1900 & 850MHz)?

Yes unfortunately, however I've not had a problem with the 3g. It would be good if it supported 2100 but I travel to the states more than other countries so this isn't so bad.
