A few months ago I was contacted by someone from Telecom (afaik no longer working there) telling me MSN Messenger connections were available on Telecom Hotspots even if you are not actually logged in - essentially free.

I never managed to get this to work and I just tried again with no god results. Any ideas?

So no authentication required for some ports???

Could be interested if you could connect to your own server through a certain port for free over the WiFi and redirect to normal web pages or other services??

Possible?

The MSN doesn't work for me, so I am not sure this was ever enabled by Telecom.
