Hi Guys,

Any chance someone could share the settings with me that I need to put into a AT&T LG GR500 phone to work with Telecom XT's internet and MMS.

I've popped a SIM in and the phone works fine for phone calls and texting, however I can't get APN settings to work for internet using the usual internet.telecom.co.nz or I'm not putting them in the right area.

I see people are setting imported ones on Trademe with the settings for internet, so this must be possible.

Any help would be gratefully received!

Cheers,
Jay

Haven't "fixed" one of these in a while, but you need to create a new browser profile and then change to that instead of using "medianet". Worst comes to worst, a Telecom store should be able to help.

Hi Munchkin, thanks for that. I think that's about as far as I managed to get with the handset also. I could see where you could setup an Access Point, then where you could setup Internet Settings and link them back to the Access Point, however there didn't seam to be a way of telling the handset to use the internet profile I'd created and not the MediaNet one which isn't able to be deleted..

Any thoughts at all that you have would be gratefully received!

You won't be able to delete (or edit) the default connection settings, but it's not important. Had a play with one and you'll need to do the following, after that you should be set.

Applications > browser > accounts

Create a new account, call it whatever you want; Set the homepage to "http://myhomepage" and then choose the WAP profile you will have created earlier. Done!
