Has anyone experienced this

New Dells only come the Express PCI slot and not a a PCMCIA rendering Mobile broadband cards from Voda and Telecom useless except the Gtran 6210 with the USB cable.

Had a couple and clients are pissed as they wanted remote working and nothing is due for some time from Telcos.

Your thoughts

umm calm down... first.. breathe in.... and out...

next, please don't bold every words.... it's not very easy to read and sometimes could come across as "Stressing"

anyhow, i'm afraid there's no good news. there are no Express/34 mobile data card out there yet.... your own choice is no mobile data card, or change laptop model, both of which (i know) are not acceptable.

sorry.

Anybody know if the UK and Germany deal where Dell are equipping laptops with embedded Vodafone 3G cards will be extended to this part of the world?

Yes, they will have some laptop models with built-in 3G capabilities. I've heard this during the Vodafone Roadshow.

By the way, this is not exclusive to Vodafone. Other brands have CDMA options, and I've heard from Telecom that they were testing something similar.
