I can send a MMS to any other network, or myself, but when i attempt to download a MMS it simply fails.
Settings are exact and worked fine previously. Tried with leading zeroes in IP addresses.
The HSDPA symbol appears for a few seconds while it tries to download then it disappears.

Android 2.3 AOSP on HTC Desire.

Make sure that Authentication Type is set to PAP. That's what did it for me.

Doesn't work. With PAP, No Auth, CHAP.
Even tried swapping between port 80 and 8080

You could always login to mmsgallery and download it manually from your PC.

Just a thought... You are not using chomp sms or handcent are you?

Both these apps stopped my mms's coming through but sms were working fine.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

If you continue to have issues, i recommend to contact telecom and ask them to do a lightsurf profile reset. This is often an issue the occurs from time to time.

Be aware it may be your ROM... MMS frequently got broken by various revisions of Leedroid for example even when all the right settings were configured.

Bear in mind that it might also be a combination of the ROM and your location - so others overseas on different networks with your pre-release software might work just fine.

I personally had this issue on a Desire with an earlier version of Leedroid and it was traced to a stuffup made in the ROM.

Cheers -N
