Following the ChCh quake my home had no power and no telephone.

The landline phone came back on within about 45 minutes but was somewhat patchy with noise and dropping in and out.  Within about 2 hours however this issue resolved itself and my landline phone has been "normal" at my home ever since - as has the DSL service

Power was restored to my home about 9pm (so about 8 hours out all up)

I have had chorus people working in holes in the street almost every day - often in the pouring rain and the cups of tea I've given the chap near the end of my drive seems such small thanks for all they are doing.

To Telecom and Chorus:  You chaps (and gals too!) are all absolute legends in my book.

Thank you so very much for all your have done so far and are doing on a continual basis for us here in Christchurch.
