Does anyone (and when I say anyone, I'm particularly thinking any Telecom employees) know if it is possible to get a copy of call minder messages supplied as audio files? (eg mp3/wav or similar)??

I realize I could rig something up myself, but I thought I'd check here first.
It would be extremely appreciated if someone can assist.

It can be done, but AFAIK Telecom will not supply this, unless under judicial order.

Just record them yourself plug a mic into your PC and put it up to the phone and record away

This has nothing to do with Call Minder - it's a package of NZ voice promopts for the Asterisk PBX (and is a recommended download if you're running Asterisk!)

Sorry - I just thought you were after generic voice prompts for voice mail, rather than doing your own.
No beer last night, so I can't blame that.

I've done this a couple of times by using the Call Transfer feature on the mobile, and my PC with a fax/answerfone application: Dial your PC, let it answer and start recording, make a second leg call to your mailbox, start the message play, and hang up. Sound quality is better this way than I would guess you'd get by holding the mobile up to the PC microphone...

Thanks for all the info - it's really appreciated.

It's not normally something I'd bother doing, but my sister would like to keep some old (funny)messages from my mother, who unfortunately died last week after a bypass operation.

No judicial order required, call the Telecom call investigation centre as mentioned. $50 bucks and the'll put it on a CD for you.

If you've deleted them and hung up from that call they gone for ever.
