For sending a text message on a Apache, is it using data that is count towards the data plan?

That is what I thought, but a Telecom CSR told me that Apache can text message can using either data network or voice network. And it will incur chargers to use the data network. I think he meant 1xRTT and EVDO network. Maybe he was trying to get me into a data plan?Wink

Lol, sounds like the CSR didnt know what they were talking about. Might have been confused with MMS which on the Apache is actually sent via email so will incur data charges

Probably what he was trying to say, is that you can text, whether you have a data plan, a voice plan, or both.
Unless you have a voice plan that qualifies for $10 text, then all texts go through at 20c.
