I would've thought that they would started new plans for this by now..

Who said anything about they are not doing it...

Why would they waste putting VDSL2+ cards in the exchanges / Cabinets

It will come when they do it i guess??

the cards are there, they just choose not to purchase the service from Telecom wholesale, along with practically every other ISP out there.

There are at least 4 ISPs I know of offering VDSL2. We are using it at our Wellington office and get around 30mbps down and 10mbps up with 30ms ping.

I would say 90% of consumers don't require a bigger connection than ADSL2+ Offers, but almost all businesses would benefit from a larger upstream connection.

Along with the ability for multiple IP's (two would be nice) over a VDSL or ADSL2+ Connection.

JohnR, I really wish VF would reconsider it's position of offering more than 1 ip per connection. Some of the other ISP's do offer it, so it must be possible. Perhaps a small trial of the technology could be attempted with a group of tech savy customers to allow this.

I desperately want more upstream to the point I am considering taking a second ADSL2 connection to get it. Stupid telecom wont do annex M which would go a long way to sorting out the whole internet chokes because I am uploading something problem.

I have been looking into getting VDSL2 at home for a while, and found these providers:

TelstraClear - quite pricey and wont give service if you are off a Telecom cabinet
WorldNet - haven't called them and probably wouldn't
Actrix - I have been emailing them about this product have received excellent service, currently top of my list

Prices are a LOT more expensive than ADSL2+. Actrix will provision the service to my house but I haven't made the final decision about going VDSL2 or Vodafone's naked ADSL2.

There is another but I cannot remember or find them, @Zeon?

(Edit - fixed spelling, it's too early for me!)
