I purchased a top-up for my phone yesterday. The dairy printed the voucher on an easypay style printer. The bottom of the voucher has this printed on it:

Top up $20 or more
on XT before 30Jun11
to call NZ land Iines
FREE for the
4 weekends from topup
date. Fair Use Policy

It's a real pity that the offer is unachievable, given the expiry date.

So Telecomers, what are you offering us as a bonus for topping up? Your two main competitors offer a bonus for topping up.

^ I think the offer is still valid for free calling weekends. Work mate topped up his XT connection sometime in July and has had free weekend calling appear as a bonus on his account. Log on to your XT account online and see if the weekend calling is on your account.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Apologies about the old message, it should have been removed from voucher top ups. If possible are you able to let me know which diary (or PM me).

In regards to the bonus we have no bonus for top ups currently but watch this space :)

Peace Street Dairy, Whakatane.

I enjoyed the free weekend deal while it was valid, was good to be able to freely ring my family. I hope Telecom makes it a permanent bonus.

I enjoyed the free weekend deal while it was valid, was good to be able to freely ring my family. I hope Telecom makes it a permanent bonus.

Nice one 1eStar, now there is a Chorus vanload of Telecom Goons on their way round to beat the crap out of the dairy owner.

Did the top up allow the caller to phone all New Zealand land lines free of charge, or just Telecom land lines ?

I note on telecoms Web page explaining My Favourates they state New Zealand land lines can be added, but in reality they must be Telecom New Zealand land Lines.

i.e

Choose up to three Telecom mobile or New Zealand landline numbers and call them as often as you want to, day or night, for just $6 each a month.

A bit confusing.

in all situations, it is any NZ landline. i.e. it includes Vodafone, Slignshot, Orcon, Telstraclear etc landlines

I tried to add a non telecom land line as a my favourate yesterday, their system wouldn't accept the number so I phoned for support. They said it has to be a telcom land line unfortanately.

I think it's a Telecom Landline but let me check with someone and let you guys know.

@tunnelvision - can you link me to the page telling you that and if it is Telecom Landline I'll see what we can do to get it more clearly explained on the website.

wouldn't mind an extra bar of reception on my phone,

would stop it cutting out. Recent expansions in the area mean lots of people during peak times and i lose signal. Unfortunately this can't be solved so im told.

Keen as for a topup bonus, with the smaller amount of texting i do nowadays im almost tempted to swap to 2degrees and sacrifice nationwide 3g for just 2100mhz.
