They don't want to display content-type of application/xhtml+xml

it popups up with Save As.

is there some configuration somewhere of what mimetypes go where?

pocket IE wont accept 127.0.0.1 on teh URL either I use minimo instead now

the handset sez it accepts xhtml, but it's lies.

i wrote a new content adapction definition.. (yeah, yeah,,, ) and define all pocket pcs as not really accepting xhtml, so instead they get ugly old html, but with accesskeys added.

Have you looked at the Pocket Internet Explorer Developer's Guide?

Also, I see you posted a blog entry about a similar problem with your Palm T|X. Perhaps your server is missing a mime type?

the only bit that refers to the response is when i say that if i serve as application/xhtml+xml, then it pops up a saveas dialog.

i know that's what's being served - i'm not relying on server settings, but i'm creating the headers manually (well, in code)

That link looks to talk much on this thing called "HTML", but there's nothing i can find on xhtml or mobile profiles.
