jermsie: I doubt the $12 figure. It's just too similar to existing deal.

Would you like to put some $$$ on that? ;-)

jermsie: If that is true, how is it any different from the 500/$10 txt at the moment? I doubt the $12 figure. It's just too similar to existing deal.

BUT it also happens to undercut voda's $12.95 for 600 TXTs...

On the other hand, why have two plans so close to each other in terms of TXTs You'd think it would be more like 500 and 800 or 500 and 1000.

I could speculate this back and forth all day, even without this thread lol.

I agree with you guys, I thought it sounded a bit dodgy too, but he seemd convinced. I could still see Telecom doing something like that, launching something 'new' but with only 'newish' plans.

But again, all speculation and rumors, we all have to wait and see what happens! :)

Who knws what they could bring out!

Can anyone confirm which version of the Nokia E71 Telecom will be selling? Are they getting the E71-3 (850/2100mhz), or E71-2 NAM version (850/1900mhz)?

The latter being a heck of a lot easier to source offshore for nearly half the XT retail price.

E71-3

Get an E71-2 if you like, doesn't matter which version Telecom actually sell you just won't be able to make use of the planned/proposed 2100MHz infill sites

Thannks, thought this would be the case.

Have noticed on TradeMe that people have been trying to sell the E71-1 as XT handset. Possible listing problems to come in the near future no doubt...

Yeah it won't just be on TradeMe either.

Glad I'm not working in cellphone retail anymore, for either operator, going to be a lot of confused customers (and dare I say staff) out there and a few pricey mistakes . . .

Think it would be safe to assume we should hear about some pricing tomorrow given we're on the verge of launch date?

I'm starting to wonder if say they were released at 7.30am tomorrow that Telecom would be targeting the "impulse" buyers. Id rather find out sooner so I can consider all the options.
