Dreamy:
I'm guessing that this site is hosted outside of NZ as the posting dates are a day behind here, which would explain the slowness I also experience here. These speeds are crap, they're not even dial up. I understand it's shaped, but this is beyond shaping.

Geekzone is hosted locally (ie. in NZ). To get the right times and dates on Geekzone, you need to set your profiles timezone correctly.

Thanks cokemaster, got it all sorted now, and I stand corrected on the site hosting.

Well so far so good for me!  Have been on since yesterday and had 800kbs download speed since I was changed over.  I can stream youtube HQ clips without any buffering but web surfing has come back a tiny bit in speed.

In saying that I am on an inner city ADSL2+ connection so i don't think I would be representative of the general connection speeds!

Lovin it so far Telecom!

I have just switched to Big Time from Pro.

On Pro I was connecting at approx 1.5Mbps, streaming youtube in HQ with no problems, game on NZ servers typically at around 50-100ms, and downloading torrents at up to 200KB/s on a good day

Now on BigTime and my experience hasn't changed at all. Watched youtube last night no probs, downloaded a couple of albums at around 8pm and got them at good speeds. (haven't tried gaming yet)

So far, so good.
Will wait and see what happens when more people join though. I'mnot bothered if P2P slows down at peak times (as promised) as I rarely use that anyway, but I'll switch back to Pro if WWW access, gaming, and youtube slow down noticably.

I have switched from Vodafone which whom I always has good speeds but never enough data
Yesterday I was getting 2.5mps at lunch time which was great BUT
Last night at about 9:30 I ran another couple of speed tests and
70kBs was the best I could get out of it using a US server

I think you get two days of "this plan is awesome" then it goes down hill after that.

Has anyone tried using a US proxy for downloads? as we discussed ealier or found out that we cannot do this as part of the terms and condition?

Just like to see if anyone has tried going down that road before I try myself
