old3eyes:johnr: I have seen this so many times over the years in Vodafone when new number ranges are opened up and the worse is international incoming calls
The problem at Vodafone is that no one seems to know what their numbering range is these days where as Skinny knows exactly what theirs are..
johnr: But it's your fault the mobile number can't be called from overseas and when you ask what network , What carrier they have no idea and not willing to get the INFO and yelled at just fix it

Vodafone's choice of having 9, 10 and 11 digit numbers didn't really do them any favours

So taking away numbers customers had for years like myself is a better idea?

John's onto it. We have had this with a few places - PABX needs to be updated with the new number range. There are certain comms that we have sent out to PABX suppliers etc but it depends upon the administrators of the PABX doing the updates.
I will call Work and Income and see if I can get to the right person. If you are onto them again then this is the range they need to setup: -
02040XXXXXX,
02041XXXXXX and
0204AXXXXX, where A is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9.
cheers
Paul.

Can Skinny again push this update again via these certain comms? Hitting this problem more and more lately, on Monday my garage couldn't ring me asking if ok to do additional work discovered during service, so now have to book the car in again. I've just emailed them the info above, be interesting if they do anything (http://www.citynissanauckland.co.nz/contact/generalenquiry/)

Hi I've sent a request through to see what else we can do. It is a shame they didn't try to call you from a mobile as that would have worked - guess they thought it was a wrong number :-(

This is not a skinny issue
