Just picked-up a Dlink DIR-412 on clearance for some additional tests. The stick did not work with it either. However, the firmware was from 2010. Once I updated the firmware on the DIR-412 it picked up the modem and worked fine.
It might be useful to know that Dlink actually post a list of their compatible 3G sticks tested with their unit while Orcon do not for the Genius. Funny thing is that the ZTE 190 unit is not actually on the compatibility list for the latest firmware.
Update: Replaced my Orcon Genius with a Cisco SRP521W and I was able to set up 3G failover with the same Data sticks in less then 10 minutes. Very impressed with Cisco.
