The devices won't work. Ever. Not in the US or any other CDMA country due to the fact the destination provider won't have the SPC or AKEY so they won't be able to reprogram the cards.

The SPC is sort of like the the PUK2 and the AKEY is the Ki in GSM terms

All they are good for now is taking apart or scrap metal.

Is the SPC the same across all devices or was I just lucky enough for the one on my device (147359) to be a memorable pattern? (down one side of the keypad and then a "triangle" on the other side).

simon14: What was the user name for the seller who wrote: ***WORKS WITH TELECOM*** ?

I want to blacklist them, just on principle...

Links of this thread seem to have been removed. Looks like TM is on to it.

Can take some time for them to action reported listings depending on what's going on.

Would be good to clean out the "Only works on 2degrees, won't work on Telecom or Vodafone" ones at the same time.

That reads to me like "device is stolen, but 2degrees claims there's no need for a blacklist database so you can still use it on them".

I saw a whole lot of those CDMA devices for sale too and I was thinking why would anyone pay $100 to buy them, even for taking them apart for curiosity's sake?
