I have no issue with the statement there if Telecom are ready to launch 4G; or if not that they clarify "4G not yet available on our network".

Cbfd: Cant thnk of the name of them off the top of my head - but they convert the fibre signal up the tower to coaxial so it can be plughd into the new antenna -

BBU goes at the bottom of the tower and RRU at the top.

Fibre to the antenna isn't new, although it hasn't been that common in the past due to the higher costs of RF over fibre compared to standard RF over coax.

This is not really any different from selling a tv that is HD ready even if there was no HD content available at the time. This was very common a few years ago.
Or Orcon saying that their genius modems were UFB ready, even before they launched UFB.

Hope they are building a lot more sites and they still need to pick a vendor as I understand

No idea, they didn't get technical about it, they pretty much said LTE in trial, expect the network to go up quickly but won't be starting until telecom new financial year, completed by end of the year. Max possible speeds around 155 down but expect closer to 30-40 down in real world use.

Not sure if Telecom intend it that way, but I read it as Vodafone 4g lte capable, should you wish to use it on vodafone.
From the other angle, its a way of stringing along customers, implying or encouraging customers to jump to the conclusion, that maybe they might soon be getting 4g too... ;) maybe. Without stating it.
Which is actually almost the same as what you originally said I guess...
Maybe an asterisk and "coming in future" would suffice?
