I can't speak for Telecom but software development in a large company typically goes like this:
You ask me for a new feature in the software, I tell you: Anything is possible given unlimited time and money!
Then I ask you at which position in my list of 200 other features/bug fixes you would like it to go... then I tell you where it will actually go based on how important/powerful you are and how good you idea is and how many users it will benefit... Legions of accountants and laywer's spend 12 months reviewing the list to analyse the financial and legal implications.
In an alternative universe at a small company... At 4pm on a friday I check the NZTA traffic cams and the traffic looks bad so I crack open a beer write the API in a couple of hours commit it to the build server, the tests all pass and it's automatically deployed to live, then I go home.
Why has the ability to use a symbol in your password been removed and at the same time a password strength shown? This change makes passwords far weaker. I can't use my standard type passwords which are very Strong.
I like the rest of the changes though, including showing more info and change options, found out I had number display hidden on my home line so got that turned off.
