Factory reset and went through wizard the same error that keeps coming up is 'The internet connection failed. Faulty DSL connection. Make sure the DSL cable is connected properly' (its all plugged in) no data is showing up anywhere in the web ui about DSL sending or receiving its all 0

Just got hold of the technician who did a test on the connection at lunchtime today and it is going fine apparently so I think I have a lemon, now the painful process of trying to get $210 back from a person on trade me. Thinking of getting another VDSL what modems are proven to work with BigPipe?

the vdsl connection goes over the same DSLAM regardless of the ISP.

your issue is almost certainly iver a dud box, or a miss configuration.

Thanks everyone for offering help. We've decided the modem was to blame and have bought a Huawei HG630 Gateway from Telecom. Unfortunately we can't find where to change these settings on this modem. Do anyone know?

VPI: 0
VCI: 110
Mode: VDSL2
PPP Protocol: PPPoE
Encapsulation: 802.1Q
PCP/ QoS Marking: 0
VLAN ID: 10
PPP Username / password

Thanks for any help we're getting desperate.

Telecom have a help and support page for such a device.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

We got it working in the end. I would recommend using the modem telecom is providing if you are looking to connect to bigpipe. The BigPipe people said that the preconfigured settings on the telecom modem are compatible with the bigpipe network, (essentially its the same network) all what you have to do is plug it in and it starts working. The reason it took us awhile to get going as the technician opened up a port and BigPipe had to configure something on their end before the DSL signal could be used for an internet connection. Now the VDSL is fluctuating a lot but we should see a solid speed after a 5 days. Thanks guys for all your help and advice

Glad that's all working for you now.

Yes, the Telecom modem is essentially plug and play for Bigpipe VDSL. Pretty good value at $149 too.

The DLM process takes ten days and then your speed should get to a (roughly) steady state. Try and leave your modem on the whole time if you can.
