Interesting...

http://telecom.co.nz seems to redirect to http://www.telecom.co.nz but other non-www won't redirect - for example
http://telecom.co.nz/discover/ and http://www.telecom.co.nz/discover/

Also a canonical tag only exists at telecom.co.nz (both www and non-www) but no canonical on any other pages. This means Google et. al will treat those as duplicated content.

http://telecom.co.nz/discover/ works fine for me on vodafone ADSL? or did you mean for you it didn't redirect to become http://www.telecom.co.nz/discover ?

in which case http://telecom.co.nz/ didn't become http://www.telecom.co.nz for me either?

either way and every link you posted worked fine for me, though I do get the point if they don't link Google will double up...

The pages work fine. Read again: they don't redirect to a single domain, which in Google eyes is like having two copies of your content, which is bad SEO practice.

jeeg: Ever since the new website design, I'm having troubles accessing the site.

if I got http://telecom.co.nz it works
but www.telecom.co.nz will not load.

also the my accounts page will not load either way.

I'm on Telecom VDSL, pages seem to load if I tether up to Telecom 4G.

Had the same problem at work last week.  It  turned out or DNS entries were wrong..

Old3eyes

solaybro: I do like their site, its got good functionality. Now all we need is for Snap to fix theirs and I think all the ISPs will have decent sites.

The credit card payment screen is still broken on snap despite me complaining 3 times about it. Works if you type your card number in backwards. Truely an aweful site but the internet service works great, so perhaps stopping more people signing on and slowing it down is a good thing? :D

I didn't do anything today and the issue seemed to have resolved itself.

It may very well be a DNS issue, or that Telecom staff just responds quickly to geekzone posts.

Yeah it seems they got a whole new license/app from Ookla or something and its on their new page: http://telecom.co.nz/speedtest. It now prompts for the user to choose the nearest NZ city for their test. Unsure why they don't redirect their old site, speedtest.telecom.co.nz to their current one though. There appears to be a lot of inconsistency with their website's organization. Its a WIP I assume.

Yeah guess so. As long as its not leaving them open to some exploit or something. Would have thought it would have been cleaned up though its not as if they are a small business.
