coffeebaron: Putaruru, but you'll need to convince an LFC to roll out to our town first:)

You should move down the road to Tokoroa, 1Gbps :)

Would much rather 200/200 to be honest. Upload is king :)

Yea, tempting. Or maybe Matamata, rumour is they could be up for the next round of towns to extend the UFB rollout to.

Decal: You should definitely come to Christchurch next!  Currently on VDSL with you guys but would love to jump up to fibre!

Are you UFB ready?

If you give enable a kick up the behind we might be.   :)

Their coverage maps give next to no information and they are building all over the place in weird patches.

Even more silly is they do not work with road crews when the pavements and streets have been dug up, so they have to re-dig up the new pavements!

eXDee: Wellington would make the most sense as a business decision imo.

Question though, are you sticking to Chorus areas first, or will you consider moving into Enable's territory in chch and UFF in Hamilton? Hopefully you're not staying chorus only and can move onto these two after Wellington.

Actually, where are most of your customers (ignoring Auckland)?

We're open to Hamilton or Christchurch, student areas are quite important to us as the no term contracts suits them really well. (They don't have to pay an ETF at the end of the uni term with Bigpipe).

We have a whole heap in Hamilton, Wellington and Dunedin.

Even better.

Christchurch and in a student area.

I see tumble weeds, abundance of student flats, but no enable fiber...    :(

Bigpipe doesn't provide a VOIP phone service as an option, does it? (I can't access your website from the work computers - but they still allow me to access Geekzone; go figure!)

I'll be looking at options and will be happy to move ISPs (in Palmerston North - also a hotbed of students!) when our current UFB contract with Snap ends (about April?), especially given how their current plans are looking really tired now (and their new plans that are supposed to be "coming soon" are certainly not coming quickly...). But I'd imagine my wife would be reluctant to move to a phone service not provided/supported by the ISP.

correct we do not do VOIP.  We don't block or throttle it in any way though, so feel free to use 2Talk, Wxc etc or whoever you like.

Or, like me, persuade your wife that a fixed phone line is silly and just use your mobile for all national calls, and skype for international.  :)

It was looking like they were going to have it ready for me by February but they have now pushed it out to June... :(

Thanks for confirming that. As much as I may like the idea of reducing the frequency and length of calls from my mother-in-law that would result from not having a land-line, this may be a stretch too far for my wife! I'll look further into the feasibility of another service like 2Talk, though - I'm just not aware of the degree of complexity involved or the stability of the service, both of which would be critical elements in deciding to move to an ISP w/o a VOIP option.

Set up for Te Awamutu, Hamilton and Cambridge would be nice.

Well, paint markings have just appeared on my street this week, so by the time you get to Rotorua, I might just have UFB available :)

Glenfield Road please. I'm begging you. I'm in a small fibreless island surrounded by UFB enabled jackasses on all sides.
