Keeps defaulting to Wellington for the speedtest. Anyway I raised a ticket the other day and the answer was to find another solution for Netflix/Huluplus. Unless you guys/gals know the streaming IP's for both?

That's not a terribly helpful response from support. Is Netflix just not in HD, or is it not working at all?

If it's not in HD, finding another solution isn't likely to help.

speedtest ip location is simply geoip location, ild count it as a nullissue. annoying sure, but it wont affect anything.

ild concentrate on twitch first considering that takes out any issues on the netflix/hulu side of things...

@SirHumphreyAppleby - It's rated as foreign video so the request got brushed under the carpet. Netflix will work but it's not HD. It doesn't constantly buffer like Huluplus. With the Vodafone connection it streamed in HD. The plus side since moving to Bigpipe is the thumb nails on the Roku Netflix app load instantly ;-)

Should add Netflix is blurry, not sharp. I have the Roku plugged straight into the router with a cat6 cable. Also tried using the laptop and desktop same issue.

@Hio77 - At least it can't be aimed at geo unblocking with Twitch.

I don't have any other issues, web browsing is snappy. Although haven't tried downloading any large files as we mainly use our internet for TV/movies :-)

Have you rebooted the Roku? I've been making changes to my networking in preparation for parallel Internet connections, and half the time the Roku wasn't loading images correctly on Netflix, a reboot of the Roku fixed it.

The lack of HD streaming suggests the Netflix issues come down to network performance. Given you're on different hardware at the exchange, does rebooting the router have any impact on things? National data from Speedtest is usually very close to the maximum speed (unless Bigpipe isn't peering locally).

Downstream has dropped a little today. I also had a buffering problem with Netflix, spoke to soon should'nt have said anything about Netflix. :-)

I've restarted the Roku a couple of times, still the same. Might try restarting the router again. How are you doing the parallel connections?

The cabling for fibre includes two physical fibres. I'm having a second ONT installed on the backup fibre. This isn't strictly necessary, but the Chorus order system doesn't presently support multiple services on a single fibre.

Very nice, a shame there isn't fibre (or even VDSL) where I live ;-) As we're renting might have to look around for a house in a fibre fed area.
