I believe the suggestion Spark gave is reasonable. If you require broadband that bad, then use the ADSL until the Fibre connection is working. Paying the extra money is peace of mind.
Shifting house, and shifting during the 'Silly Season' just seems super stressful. Good luck with that!!

Sounds to me like if you must have internet $64 is a small price to pay to guarantee it against something going wrong. Think of it as insurance. Personally I'd suck it up and take a chance - but that's me.
As an aside - I thought when fibre was installed they physically took out the copper lines.

That's the crazy part, I think the copper has been removed or cut so they will need to reconnect that for me to have ADSL. $64 to get all that done is a bargain in some ways.
I'll PM Peter from Spark, if he thinks they can get my fibre running before Xmas then I don't mind a few days downtime.
