Wheelbarrow01:deadlyllama: Are they finally doing voice over VoIP instead of requiring you to keep your copper too?
That is correct. Fibre VoIP services are now available in UFB areas where no copper has been laid (eg new subdivisions, apartment buildings etc).
Existing Spark Ultra Fibre customers can also migrate their voice service from copper to fibre.
There is also no pre-requisite to get broadband - Spark will now offer voice only services over fibre where copper voice is not available, subject to UFB availability of course.
I only placed my order like a week ago on UFB 100/50 and the tech is going on site today for site inspection.
I really want to go on these new plans which gives me Gigabit router and fast speed, but I think I will wait for my connection to be up and running first and then change it to these plans.
If I ask for a change of plans, they might push my install dates further now .. and delay everything ..
