After reading more reviews on a few different options I was too eager and purchased the linksys this morning. From what I've read it seems to have consistent throughput and good range without looking like an alien spaceship (r8000). I hope I don't regret it based on your friend's problems richms!
Will let you guys know how it all turns out when my installation is complete on 3rd September.
