Problem Sorted!

Chorus came out

The issue was the twisted pair to the cabinet 200 meters down the road was not working properly so they re patched the cabinet utilising the other twisted pair and changed the profile to 17a.

now

i doubt they changed the profile themselfs was more likely a side effect of the work done

Correct.

The chorus guy did advise that due to the premise being a multi tenant area there was i think he said BT box that were split all over the place and potentially the pairs can get mucked up and cause issue with VDSL. hmmm interesting. He was the only chorus guy i have meet that was actually trying to help :P

sbiddles advice wasnt wrong, but it was based off the fact that the points below were not made apparent at the start.

I have connected to modem directly to the Dmarc and still same issue.

Just to add had a tech have a look at it not from chorus. my modem connect directly to dmarc less than .5m of cat 6 cable joined with gels. so 100% no issue there.

sorry, I mean the advice about getting a master splitter installed by default on every single VDSL connection without trying it first.

Your is a perfect example of where your ISP (and hence you) would have just been throwing $300 away paying for nothing. Your VDSL speed is basically perfect - as good as it can be.
